CHAPTER ONE: one with the blizzard

The blizzard danced in endless music, keeping the sky hidden from its blue. Midnight Myth sighed, stared out from the cave. From the cave, she could hardly see the mountain, blurred by the heavy storm. This wasn’t what she expected when she decided to try another alternative path.

She had been in this nowhere now for two weeks. And she wants to find the next city soon as possible.

“Hey Nity,, maybe we should have the night here,, you couldn’t make it with this kind of blizzard.” A white tiger, who sit not far from Midnight, is trying to convince Midnight to stay. Moon is Midnight’s animal companion as a druid, the servant of nature.

“Not if I do this.” As Midnight finished her sentence, she transformed to a beautiful white tiger. The thick fur looked so soft and puffy that any hunter will crazy to have it. But in this case, she needs it for her own.

“Wooohow,, gorgeous! Maybe we should stay longer here..” Moon teased Midnight with her animal shape. As a druid, Midnight can transform herself as many animal she want to be. At this level, she called the shape shifter.

“Behave, Moony. You’re too old to me.” Midnight said. “And yet, I want we arrived at the next city soon.”

“Owww, you’re breaking my heart, honey.” Moon made his best sad face to her. He’s kind of lazy to continue the journey with this kind of weather outside. He thinks that it will give bad effects to his fur. The sound of the blizzard is kind of scary too, giving him the creepy feeling.

“Don’t make me pull you outside with this claw, Moony.” She pulled out her claw, and playing it. “Maybe next time I won’t be a chick for you Moony. I think of….a wolf.”
“Well, if I can tell you, my lady, it won’t make any difference for me.”

“Aaaaaaw, shut up! You give me the chill!” She came out from the cave, looked up. The sky’s still dark. It doesn’t make any sense. A hard blizzard in this time of season? There must be an answer for this.

They walked against the blizzard, trying to see clearly, but it can’t be helped. “Weird.” Midnight said.

“What’s up?” Moon move forward, walked in front of his master, to protect her from the blizzard.

“This blizzard. It’s not from the nature’s force.”

Moon laughed. He turned to Midnight, and walked backward. This way, at least, he could see things properly. ^^

“You’re the servant of nature, aren’t you. You can tell. I just know that something is wrong out here. And I’m just going to the wrong direction ~neglecting my natural instinct.” He sighed. “Aww,, my soft-soft fur is starting to be some icy fur!!!”

“Yeah,, yeaaah,, it will be a nice decoration.”

“Heeeey, that’s mean!!"

Moon’s always enjoyed how they’re fighting each other. It’s a way to show their affection. Midnight’s not quite smart with showing emotions. Her attitude now is so much better than when they first met ~he felt like talking with a stone. For two years they spent together, he still barely knew things about his master.

He stared Midnight for a while. Even with her animal shape, her golden eyes still there. For a half-elf, that’s so rare. But, he didn’t have the guts to ask about it.
In her true shape, Moon thought that Midnight has the quality ~the human’s body and the elf’s beauty.

“What are you staring of?!” Yup! But the minus is: she’s cold. She always gave a distance to anyone. As long as he knew, only with him, Midnight could say something with sentences not by words.

“Hey, we almost reached the top. The city should be behind this mountain.”

Suddenly, Midnight stopped. “What’s wrong?”

She closed her ears. “Stop it!”

“Stop what?” Moon rushed to her. “What’s wrong with you?”

She pointed the peak. “Someone… someone is crying.”

And when Moon looked for the place which she pointed, he saw a silhouette of a wolf. Howling like crazy. Howling with desperation.
“Wooow, It’s a silver wolf. A real one.”
A silver wolf’s standing at the peak; calling names…..

To be continued….
